Miami Season Opener — what came out of it
60 people in a room in Brickell. That is the simple version of what happened on March 10th.
The real version is harder to summarise and more worth trying.
The room
We do not do name badges with job titles. We do not do forced networking rounds. We do not have a sponsor logo on every surface. What we do is put people in an environment that signals: this is a place for real conversation. The rest takes care of itself.
It takes care of itself because of who is in the room. Founders who are building. Investors who are listening. Operators who are thinking. People who came because someone they trust told them this was worth their evening.
What came out of it
Three introductions that turned into working relationships within two weeks. One partnership that was announced the following Monday. Several conversations that are still ongoing.
And something harder to measure: a sense that the ecosystem is real, not aspirational.
What we are doing differently next time
More intentional seating. Fewer people, more depth. A fireside component to anchor the energy before the open conversation begins.
The next one is April 28th. Apply if you want to be in the room.
